Setak ICT was funded in the 2006 and begun its activities in the field of e-government, e-city and e-commerce.
Within only two years from its official establishment in 2008, Setak was successfully nominated the top company in green economy. Later in 2009 and 2010, it was selected as the Iranian top company in the field of electronic administrative systems.
In 2010, Setak was awarded as the country's top technologist by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology(Iran).
In 2011, it was awarded as the top entrepreneur by the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare(Iran). 
Setak is currently among the first Iranian companies leveraging the cloud computing technology in software as a service (SaaS).
